Cameron Henderson
Cameron Henderson is a singer-songwriter and guitar slinger from the Blue Mountains, NSW. ‘CJ Stranger’ is his nom de plume under which he releases and performs his own flavour of alt-country-rock. CJ’s album Hey Stranger (2020) received critical acclaim and widespread radio play around the nation including Triple J and Double J.
In addition to his solo work, Cameron has worked as a guitar player for many notable Australian artists. In 2018-2019 he toured internationally with indie rockers Middle Kids including performances on Jimmy Kimmel, KEXP, Triple J and support tours with bands such as Bloc Party and The War on Drugs.
Cameron was the guitarist on the world premiere season of Muriel’s Wedding: the Musical (2017) with the Sydney Theatre Company and returned for the 2019 Sydney season. Cameron also appears regularly with Aussie acts William Crighton, Angie Who, Lyre Byrdland and Sam Newton. Whilst spending most of his time performing in bands or theatres, Cameron also has an honours degree in classical guitar performance from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
